Deana Nastic’s Invisible Brush at Izzy Gallery

Apr 01 2016

Praised for her signature watercolour style, renowned Toronto artist Deana Nastic has swapped her paintbrushes for a camera with her latest creative project Invisible Brush, a photography series featuring famed model Yasmin Warsame. The large-scale, black-and-white portraits still convey the wispy, ethereal mood that Nastic has always captured in her paintings, only this time she’s achieved it using innovative photography techniques.

Invisible Brush was unveiled at Yorkville’s favourite artistic space, Izzy Gallery, on March 30. The small, chic spot was packed with Toronto’s finest, from art enthusiasts to media moguls and socialites, all of who fell in love with Nastic’s groundbreaking new collection.
