“Charity is a virtue of the heart, and not of the hands. – Joseph Addison”
Aspire to Inspire
We are all summoned to answer the call of charitable action. Whether it be at home while having dinner, as things heat up at a live auction, or as we are stopped at a light waiting to go our way, and suddenly see someone standing there with a sign.
How you choose to react to these events is up to you. Although they might seem small, they are the foundation of making a difference. If your heart is telling you to act a certain way, imagine how amplified your actions might be if financially you could make an even bigger difference.
When I entered Michael Lee-Chin’s boardroom at Portland Holdings Inc., something immediately became apparent to me about this man: something undefined by power or wealth yet truly priceless. What I witnessed was his energy and absolute love of life. How amazing it was to be acquainted with someone of this nature and immediately after be filled with the same joy he radiates. As someone who defied probability, he exclaims, “I want to be an inspiration to everyone who aspires.”
And that he is. You will learn from this exclusive story that his name holds a special meaning to all those whose lives have been touched by him.
Dolce Vita Worthy Cause highlights how personal happiness and a fulfilled life ensues when you help others. Adam Braun, founder of the Pencils of Promise organization, will inspire you to join his efforts to rewrite the future of “education-starved children” with the promise of a pencil.
Once you have answered the call to your heart, we invite you to discover all the other fine things this issue has to offer. And why not reward yourself with all the things that make life so sweet?
We hope you enjoy this latest issue of Dolce!
