“How people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours. – Wayne Dyer”
A Bit of Karma
As we prepare for this holy time of year, it is normal to want to reflect upon how we have behaved. Just as your financial advisor can look upon your reports and make certain recommendations, so can you. All you need is some peaceful space to ponder upon your actions or lack thereof. In order to make the exercise of implementing recommendation on what you need to change in your life – you will need to be truthful to yourself.
The good thing is that it is never too late for a fresh start. If you find that you have not been nice, this is the time to practice a bit of karma, just as Shemar Moore does. A great believer of karma, Moore plays special agent Derek Morgan on Criminal Minds. This is one of my current favourite shows on TV, mainly because I find twisted and toxic minds mind-boggling.
Although it has all the elements of a Criminal Minds script, Peter Ash’s story to stop albino killers in Tanzania is real. This is the horror of every Albino living in Central Eastern Africa. His beautiful quest is both inspiring and symbolic. Ash is protecting children from a fate of being hunted for potions of black magic by placing them in private schools that offer dignity, safety and education.
We are especially proud of this issue as it comes at a special time of year.
Since ‘tis the season to be a better person, make positive changes and wishes for the new year. You will find this issue filled with ideas on how you too can take part in a great cause that will be a blessing in someone’s life.
By making a difference, you should feel better at the knowledge that perhaps, although you do not practice the art of balance when it comes to work and play, you will probably apply yourself 110 per cent to the cause of your choice, just as you do in your business or work. After all, you shouldn’t be ashamed of this – even Kevin O’ Leary shared this practice of imbalance during his interview.
We hope you enjoyed this issue of Dolce. Until next time, be kind, be good, and be yourself!
